Iran short film grabs Best Short Film Award from FRESCO Int’l Filmfest in Armenia

Iran short film Forouzan succeeds to receive Best Short Film Award from the 21st FRESCO International Film Festival in Armenia.

Iran short film Forouzan has succeeded to receive Best Short Film Award from the 21st edition of FRESCO International Film Festival in Armenia.

The award was granted to Mir Abbas Khosravi-Nejad, the director of the flick.

‘Forouzan’ narrates the story of a young woman whose husband has recently passed away. She lives with her two young children in a village and protects a herd of sheep against the attack of thieves at night.

The short was recognized as Best Narrative Short at the Independent Shorts Awards in Los Angeles, the US.

The FRESCO Film Festival is an annual event which is a great opportunity for the reassessment of the spiritual and cultural heritage; for cultural dialogue with people of other countries; for self-knowledge and raising the national consciousness in this context.

The 2018 edition of the event was held on June 22-July 1 in Armenia.
